Volunteer
As a volunteer, you’ll play an important role in helping us preserve and share the history of Albuquerque’s transportation heritage. At WHEELS Museum, we want your volunteer experience to be enjoyable and meaningful. Our goal is to connect you with opportunities that match your talents and interests, whether that’s greeting visitors, supporting tours, caring for exhibits, running the trains, assisting with light administrative work, providing tech or social media support, helping with restoration projects, lending a hand at special events, or keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. Whatever your strengths, there’s a place for you here to make a difference. Whether you love history, enjoy working with people, or just want to give back to the community, your time and talents make a lasting difference. We seek weekly volunteers who are dependable, respectful, friendly, and committed to fostering a positive atmosphere at the museum. Please plan to complete a 45-minute orientation with our volunteer coordinator prior to your first shift.
